This Artist’s Illustrations Paint A Painful Picture Of Society And They’re On Point

Our society today is very different from the world of 10 years ago. A lot has changed in the last decade. We’ve uploaded our entire lives online. Our self-esteem has somehow become linked to ‘likes’ and ‘shares’. We have been using the vast resources of the Internet to write hate speech. We’re more aware of what’s going on deep inside cyberspace, and less of what’s happening out there, in the real world.

This artist perfectly captures the numerous struggles of modern society through his illustrations. Here is some of his best work:

1. An accurate illustration of my twitter feed.

2. We are shown only what we WANT to see.

3. And what we want to see is now all online.

4. We’re at war with one another when one is the other.

5. The struggle to manage our online presence is very real. But for whom really?

6. Social media trolls illustrated perfectly.

7. At the end of the day, likes are what really matter, aren’t they?

8. Why scale a mountain when you’ve got virtual reality, right?

9. Labels may hurt like a pin prick. Which is excruciating when you consider the amount of labels out there.

10. We’re all after the easy way up, but it’s the few that are not that get up there first.

11. When your choice is different from society’s expectations, your journey will always be an uphill climb.

12. “The park is meant for celebrities to take awesome pictures, not for you guys to play and relax at!”

13. We often choose to overlook the sad reality right in front of us.

14. Love comes in all forms but we choose to see just one.

15. And we choose to let artificial outlines on a map dictate our identities.

The illustrations are brilliant, but they do paint a very painful picture of society today.

Are things really this bad?
