Smugglers concealing gold, drugs, alcohol bottles and other similar objects in peanut shells, biscuits and sometimes strapping it to themselves have been caught by cops multiple times.
Probably this is the reason why this man decided to hide huge amounts of gold in order to transport it out of Tiruchirappalli, reports News18.
The smugglers had allegedly carved out slots in soaps of a popular beauty brand and taped gold jewellery worth Rs 38 lakh to them. Although their racket was busted by security personnel at the airport, the trick reminded people of an advertisement by soap brand claiming to offer gold pendants and coins hidden inside their soaps to a few lucky customers.
In a video shared by a journalist on Twitter, a person can be seen opening the carved out soap bars to unveil the hidden ‘khazaana’.

Can’t help think that this could be someone who often bought soaps as a kid to find gold in them, but never got any! 😀

If only soaps could be sold for lakhs, all beauty companies in this country would be unicorn 🦄

Even I remember wasting soaps in a bid to find the hidden gold. But all I got was a flying chappal from my mom. *sigh*
