Here’s a theory: maybe to be a politician, having the foot-in-mouth disease is a pre-requisite.
Because how else do you explain the ridiculous statements they make on public platforms? There’s rarely any better fodder for internet trolls than politicians’ statements!
And this time, it was something said by Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan that caught Twitter’s fancy.
MP CM Chouhan, currently on a six-day visit to the United States to promote American investments in Madhya Pradesh, landed in Washington DC and made quite an interesting remark about the condition of roads in the American capital.
Chouhan was addressing the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum meeting when he made the following statement.
When I got down at Washington Airport & travelled on roads, I felt roads in MP are better than US: Madhya Pradesh CM in Washington DC pic.twitter.com/saMTLqKDqT

See what we mean about politicians and their foot-in-mouth disease?
Now, it’s Wednesday and everyone’s suffering from mid-week blues and then comes a politician with his nonsensical comment. You think the internet trolls were going to let it go?
Of course not!
The Twitterati have mastered the art of ‘Galti Se Mistake‘ trolling, which means sharing a picture of one thing and calling it something else entirely. And that’s exactly what they did this time too!
People were sharing pictures of swanky roads and expressways of USA and other countries and calling them #MPRoads!
We bring you the most ROFL-worthy ones!
