‘If People Cross The Line, Mira And I Do Get Displeased,’ Says Shahid On KWK Debacle

I didn’t bat eyelids when Shahid and Mira Kapoor made their very own ‘Koffee with Karan‘ debut, proving every bit worthy of the long wait. But what a discovery Mrs Kapoor was! Free-spirited, opinionated and far away from the filth, that is Bollywood, Mira was everything we expected. Only better!

Apart from all the fun-filled mirth, there were moments when Shahid shared his thoughts about arranged marriages and his own fairy-tale wedding with Mira. However, his views have not gone down well with a lot and have received a lot of flak!

Reacting to all the buzz, Shahid recently decided to break his silence and express about how he couldn’t care less.

 “A mainstream star having an arranged marriage is unique. It is not every day that a Hindi film hero goes and marries someone no one even knows of. I am an actor. Most parts of my life are up for discussion, by default. It won’t stop whether I like it or not. If people cross the line, we do get displeased. But the line itself is wide. We can’t be touchy and say, bhai mere baare mein koi baat nahin karega.”

 

The ‘Rangoon’ star also came out in defence of his wife, Mira who happens to share his sentiments and ideology.

“Mira seems pretty chilled out about what’s written. My wife decides what she wants to do, where she wants to go, how she wants to go and who is allowed in the house. It is natural. In fact, that’s how it should be.”

Point well made, Shahid. Unfortunately, haters gonna hate!
