Veteran Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi was highly criticised on Twitter for his tweet on the ‘Indian occupied Kashmir’. While the battle for Kashmir between the two nations, India and Pakistan, continue to be brutal, the comment did not go down well with rational minds.
Afridi, in his tweet, questioned the UN and other international bodies for taking no action on the ongoing bloodshed in the part of Kashmir which lies under the Indian territory.
If you have somehow missed it, here’s what the former Pakistani skipper wrote,
Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other int bodies & why aren't they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?

And this is how Gautam Gambhir replied to his words…
Media called me for reaction on @SAfridiOfficial tweet on OUR Kashmir & @UN. What’s there to say? Afridi is only looking for @UN which in his retarded dictionary means “UNDER NINTEEN” his age bracket. Media can relax, @SAfridiOfficial is celebrating a dismissal off a no- ball!!!

The left-handed genius slammed Afridi by terming him as a ‘retard’ and blamed him for having the maturity of an ‘UNDER NINETEEN’.
And now, after the acting Delhi Daredevils skipper, other Indian cricketers like Virat Kohli, Mohammad Kaif, Suresh Raina and Kapil Dev have also condemned Afridi’s words.
Speaking to reporters at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Virat Kohli said,
“As an Indian you want to express what is best for your nation and my interests are always for the benefit of our nation. If anything opposes it, I would never support it for sure.”
Here is what Mohammad Kaif had to say
Dear Afridi , we wish peace and love but Peace is a two way street. pic.twitter.com/1oonVHQMqP

Suresh Raina took out time to offer some valuable advice to ‘Boom Boom’
Kashmir is an integral part of India and will remain so always. Kashmir is the pious land where my forefathers were born. I hope @SAfridiOfficial bhai asks Pakistan Army to stop terrorism and proxy war in our Kashmir. We want peace, not bloodshed and violence. 🙏

Kapil Dev had the best reply
“I have no time for him. Who is he? Why are we giving importance to him? We should not be giving importance to such people. If somebody sitting in one corner of the world says something, I think the best thing is not to react to it.”
Needless to say, the Pakistani hard-hitter made a huge mistake with the tweet and the Indians have definitely bowled him over!
