Not just a talented actor, a commendable star, and a humble human being, Shah Rukh Khan is also an ardent family man who loves his family the most and is their biggest cheerleader.
Earlier, people went awww when SRK and his wife Gauri Khan were seen sneaking in a lovely moment and dancing together at Alanna’s wedding.

Recently, his interior designer wife Gauri launched her new coffee table book titled ‘My Life In Design’. The book gives us an insight into her journey as a designer and some unseen images of their Mumbai residence ‘Mannat’. Through it, Gauri also imparts tips to aspiring designers.
For her book, Shah Rukh Khan volunteered to write a sweet foreword, the images of which have now started going viral. In the foreword, SRK went down memory lane and wrote how Gauri’s love for interior designing bloomed when they bought their first home in Mumbai.
“It all started when we bought our first home in Mumbai. Needless to say, it was beyond our means, but we needed a living space because we were expecting Aryan. So, the choice was made, that we would try and buy stuff for the house as and when we had the money. We could not afford a designer so the job was taken over by Gauri.”

Reminiscing the time when they went to buy a sofa but returned buying just the leather as the sofa was expensive, SRK divulged in the book:
“We once went to buy a sofa, but since it was too expensive, we just bought the leather for the sofa on one of my travels and waited for some carpenter to build what Gauri had designed in a notebook. This went on for some years, and as things started looking up for us, we went on to buy a bigger home, Mannat. The story was the same, that we had spent all our money on the property and had none left for the interiors. So again, by default, Gauri became our interior designer.”
This is how they managed for years. But the story didn’t change much even after they had bought their current house ‘Mannat’.

He also shared that Gauri learned and helped design the extended portion of ‘Mannat’.
“The task of designing her own house, which was rather big, the appreciation of friends and the sheer determination to make sure that our home was what we always desired egged her on to learn new things. She trained herself to understand spaces and figure out how basic amenities, logistics and beauty come together to make a home.”

Talking about Gauri’s work, SRK wrote that she designs all the spaces like they’re her own and that’s her greatest quality.
“There is a personal attachment to all that she takes on as work every day. While doing so, she pays full heed to the personality of her clients and what they want for the space. But there is also a very personal and sometimes quirky touch to the whole design that makes it unique. We see her put hours into doing whar she loves, and she does it with a discipline that we all envy.”
And like a supporting and loving husband, SRK wrote, “On a serious note and with the full bias of a husband, I can boldly state that she’s the best designer in the business.”
He concluded by looking forward to all she has included in her book.
“And if by chance she had deigsned some space better than what she has done for me, I will force her to give me a discounted makeover for my space”
