Stalking, bullying, harassment and casual sexism are some societal malpractices that most of us, especially woman have or will experience in our lifetime. Wherever you go, be it a shopping mall, restaurant, college, cinema hall or while on the road, there’s hardly any place where people with such malicious intentions aren’t present.
Recently, nutrition expert Rujuta Diwekar also experienced something like this while she was on the road.
Hence, she took to social media and slammed ‘middle-aged men on geared cycles’ overtaking and turning around to look. However, towards the end, she also wrote, “You are not Shahrukh Khan.”
Have a look at her tweet here:
Even though her intentions were probably to chastise such men in a sarcastic manner, it didn’t go well with some people online.
People pointed out how her tweet was normalizing harassment and eve-teasing by film stars.
Does Shah rukh have the right to do it ???? I think u need to rephrase your sentence

Normalising bullying for film stars

The tweet was going so nice and the last sentence ruined it. So, Shahrukh Khan can do it and normal guys shouldn’t do? Common sense applies to all. Even to Super Heroes.

Thank you for putting all middle aged men in the same category! This tweet is messed up on so many counts.

Harassment, be it by the elderly, a juvenile, a film star or a family member, irrespective of their age and gender, is NEVER okay. What do you think of her post? Tell us.
