Roger Federer’s final tennis match at the Laver Cup recently and his farewell ceremony set inspiring examples for the world to witness. Here was an athlete who was bidding goodbye to his 24-year-old sporting career and his greatest rivals were alongside him, shedding constant tears. Federer holding hands with Rafael Nadal and crying together is probably the greatest moment in sports history.
On day 2 of the Laver Cup, during the singles match between Novak Djokovic and Tiafoe, there was another moment which will be remembered for years to come. In a video shared by Laver Cup’s official Twitter account, Roger Federer turns water boy for his once rival Novak.

It is not only a sportsman’s talent that makes him great, but the way he treats his rivals on and off the court speaks volumes about his character and spirit. Several people lauded Federer for his kindness. Here’s what they said:
By coming together for Roger & despite the competitive sport, these guys have displayed dignity, grace & respect for each other, the true values of sports. https://t.co/2O7zQl4RHr

That’s what real leaders do. Lead by example whether playing, coaching, motivating and yes, providing water for mates. Love it!

He’s going to be missed on the tour as a player but I’m sure we’ll see RF in other roles around tennis.
