My favourite childhood memory of travelling by road with my parents is listening to the radio. From old songs to the RJ’s banter, we enjoyed all of it. We even had our favourite radio stations!
While the radio is now replaced by aux cords or Bluetooth connections to play only the music we like, the banter is still something we enjoy sometimes.
RJ Naved is known for his radio shows and his way of pranking as well as showing the gut-wrenching realities of our society. From raising awareness about rape culture in the country to his monologue on aborting fictional girl child, he has been in the news quite often.
However, it seems like things got ugly this time.
RJ Naved, on his radio show Mirchi Murga, pranked someone who had put banners of his lost dog around Noida and Delhi area.
The prank didn’t go down well for numerous reasons.
a) Pranking someone who has lost a dog is not funny.
b) Refer to point ‘a’.
The man who was pranked obviously got irritated and did not mince his words while slamming RJ Naved for it. The audio clip has since been deleted but a small part of it is doing the rounds of the internet.
@rjnaved @RadioMirchi The most insensitive & uncivil prank. A family who had put up posters to find their lost pet receives such a call from you. Pets are family. Would you play this prank if a human child was lost?#ShamefulEntertainment #dogs #dog pic.twitter.com/Ww6QTHj0Lm

So he basically called up the guy whose number was on the posters and told him he has found the dog. The man rejoiced until he comes to know it was all a stupid joke.
Those who heard him on air and those who got to know about this insensitive joke made it a point to share their anger and disgust.
1. He’s the same person who talks about being kind and empathetic to others.
Clearly nobody in this entire channel has any empathy. To play with someone's emotions like that?Dude It's an individual choice..adopting a human or animal. If ur so concerned abt underprivileged humans then spread awareness abt overpopulation and set and example by adopting them!

2. What a shame.
.@RadioMirchi RJ Naved plays a prank on pet parents who’ve lost their dog??? What is wrong with you people? Where is your sensitivity? Is this a joking matter?? Shame on you!!

3. Speaking of your previous display of sensitivity and empathy.
When u can mock a pet owners suffering, how can u behave as the messiah of sensitivity? #RJNaved #petlovershateyou

4. Pets are the family we choose.
Looking a pet is painful, and making jokes on it is even more insensitive.
Need an apology #RJNaved .
The prank played by RJNaved And #Radiomirchi was very uncivil and a painful.
Even pets are family members#animalkind #AnimalLove— Shashank (@Shashank_rangu) May 10, 2018
5. Insensitivity is not funny.
A family loses their pet and puts up posters to find the pet. #radiomirchi #RJNaved finds the poster and mkes a prank call. Heights of insensitivity. Ur no longer funny.

It really is sad to see that RJ Naved could be so insensitive to someone. Losing a pet is never an easy thing and making fun of it is even worse.
If only people knew how painful it is, they’d be more sensitive and considerate of each other.
