RJ Naved Is Under Fire For Playing An Insensitive Prank With Someone Who Lost His Dog

RJ Naved

My favourite childhood memory of travelling by road with my parents is listening to the radio. From old songs to the RJ’s banter, we enjoyed all of it. We even had our favourite radio stations!

While the radio is now replaced by aux cords or Bluetooth connections to play only the music we like, the banter is still something we enjoy sometimes.

RJ Naved is known for his radio shows and his way of pranking as well as showing the gut-wrenching realities of our society. From raising awareness about rape culture in the country to his monologue on aborting fictional girl child, he has been in the news quite often.

However, it seems like things got ugly this time.

RJ Naved, on his radio show Mirchi Murga, pranked someone who had put banners of his lost dog around Noida and Delhi area.

The prank didn’t go down well for numerous reasons.

a) Pranking someone who has lost a dog is not funny.

b) Refer to point ‘a’.

The man who was pranked obviously got irritated and did not mince his words while slamming RJ Naved for it. The audio clip has since been deleted but a small part of it is doing the rounds of the internet.

So he basically called up the guy whose number was on the posters and told him he has found the dog. The man rejoiced until he comes to know it was all a stupid joke.

Those who heard him on air and those who got to know about this insensitive joke made it a point to share their anger and disgust.

1. He’s the same person who talks about being kind and empathetic to others.

2. What a shame.

3. Speaking of your previous display of sensitivity and empathy.

4. Pets are the family we choose.

5. Insensitivity is not funny.

It really is sad to see that RJ Naved could be so insensitive to someone. Losing a pet is never an easy thing and making fun of it is even worse.

If only people knew how painful it is, they’d be more sensitive and considerate of each other.
