The Kamala Mills fire tragedy is the moot point, right now and people are aggressively discussing it at news hours, on social media, and in homes. ‘Whose fault was it?’ is one question everyone is seeking answers to. But, is there just one person or authority to blame? No! There are many.

Bereaved families are still under shock and people on social media are putting across the point that it was a tragedy waiting to happen.

Speaking about the issue, Renuka Shahane slammed the authorities in a Facebook post and also shared how we as citizens can do our bids in preventing mishaps like this from happening in future.

“People die constantly because of the nexus between builders, restaurant owners, Corporators, BMC officials; all those who allow illegal constructions flouting all safety norms. Corruption & zero accountability=lives lost!! It’s all about the money!
In the greed for money if we cut corners, flout rules blatantly, give bribes and don’t care about each other how will we benefit our country? Isn’t that being anti-national?
All of us aren’t soldiers at the border but being honest, not doing anything illegal, taking pride in the safety of our fellow citizens and keeping our environment clean are ways of being good, law abiding, civil citizens and that is equally important. That’s the least we must do for our country!

RIP innocent victims ?? Praying for the injured ??
#MumbaiFire”

Renuka even took to the micro-blogging site to discuss it with fellow Tweeple who shared the same sentiments as that of Renuka’s.

Not only that, she even slammed the suspended BMC officials.

Well, whatever Renuka’s saying makes sense and we all should, in our own capacities, do our bids as citizens.
