Rajasthan Girl Teaches Eve Teaser A Lesson With Her Stick For Harassing & Defaming Her

As much as the Sanskari-est of Indians won’t like to admit, our culture has nurtured toxic masculinity for a long time. Men are allowed to roam around freely, while women aren’t. Men are lauded and called a womaniser for wooing several women at once. However, when women do the same, they’re called all kinds of heinous things. And the sad thing is that this bigotry has propagated to the current generation.

While many will try to blame the internet, video games and movies, the real reason crimes against women are increasing is because boys aren’t being told that they’re wrong. Nobody’s telling them that eve teasing, touching without permission or making sexist remarks is offensive. And since our respected elders are mum on the matter, our girls have taken it on themselves to teach boys a lesson.

According to NDTV, a girl in Rajasthan was harassed by an eve-teaser during her morning run. However, she decided to end the matter there and then.

In a video that’s currently gone viral, a girl can be seen hitting a boy with a stick. She says that she’s working hard to prepare for her competitive exams and this boy is defaming her for no reason. The locals who’re too scared to intervene heard the girl saying that the boy is spreading false rumours that she’s is his girlfriend.

However, as evident from the images itself, it’s quite clear that it’s the first and the last time that this boy, or any other boy, will try to eve tease anyone. According to reports, the girl hasn’t filed an FIR as the boy was a minor. Nevertheless, her fearless actions have inspired girls in the locality to not tolerate any level of misogyny anymore.

You can watch the girl’s display of courage here:

We’ve numerous official authorities and laws in place to deal with unsocial elements. However, they mostly seem to falter when justice is required for women. That’s why girls like this Rajasthani braveheart are compelled to take matters into their own hands. But as physical violence isn’t always the solution, it’s advisable that girls of all ages publicly stand up to these abusers from the first moment. By doing so, the society will be aware of their real faces and their jig will be up even before it begins.
