Cricketing Legend Rahul Dravid Helps U19 Team India Secure Their Hat-trick Asia Cup Win!

It was the 24th of January 2012 when the wall of Indian cricket, Rahul Dravid, played his last test match before retiring from the game. He has been one of the most iconic players of cricket and took team India to soaring heights in the nation’s favourite sport. However, despite retiring as a player, Dravid never completely lost touch with the game. He has been coaching the under 19 Indian team and just recently, helped them achieve their hattrick win!

The under 19 Indian cricket team, coached by Rahul Dravid, completed their hat-trick by winning the Asia Cup this year, defeating Sri Lanka in the finals.

Team India gave the hosts Sri Lanka, a target of 274 to chase and managed to get them out at 239 runs.

 

Along with Dravid, the U19 Indian skipper Abhishek Sharma was ecstatic after earning their third Asia Cup trophy.

BCCI president Anurag Thakur also lauded Dravid’s effort grooming the next generation of cricketers in India.

Famed for being the impenetrable wall of India, Rahul Dravid continues to inspire the next generation of cricketing talent. The hat-trick win is just further proof!
