Internet sensation Poonam Pandey shocked her fans when she posted pictures from her intimate wedding to long-term boyfriend Sam Bombay a couple of days ago.
The newly-wed couple also posed for the paparazzi while they were heading for their honeymoon. The model-turned-actress was seen donning the traditional Chooda, Mangalsutra and Sindoor.
However, the 29-year-old actor who is often called the ‘controversy queen’ of India has now accused her husband of molesting, threatening and assaulting her, reports Hindustan Times. She had filed an FIR against him in Goa where the couple had gone for their honeymoon.
Inspector Tukaram Chavan of Canacona police station said:
“Pandey filed a complaint late Monday night claiming her husband Sam Bombay had molested her, and threatened her with dire consequences after assaulting her. He was arrested.”
According to Chavan, Poonam was also subjected to mandatory medical tests.
In an earlier interview with Bombay Times, Poonam had said how everything between her and Sam has been like a romantic Bollywood movie.
“We couldn’t ignore the fireworks between us and everything has been like a romantic Bollywood movie since. I’ll need three months to list everything that made me fall in love with him. Of course, I’m going to brag about my husband being the smartest on the planet according to me. Jokes apart, we are very similar in many ways. He is my best friend and the amazing part is that we’re so thick that we can read each other’s mind,” she had said.
