Pokémon Draws Attention To Climate Crisis With Ghost Pokémon ‘Corsola’ Based On Dead Corals

The latest addition to the climate saving brigade is Pokémon. According to Huffington Post, in the latest installations of the game franchise, “Pokémon Sword” and “Pokémon Shield,” the gaming company has used climate change as the inspiration behind the new version for the coral-like Pokémon.

The Pokémon called Corsola, is a ghost version of the once vibrant Corsola, a coral Pokemon first introduced in the Gold and Silver games. Unlike Corsola, who was pink in color and had a smile on its face, the ghost version is pale and white and can be seen frowning. It is based on dead corals that were wiped out due to sudden climate changes and global warming, reports News 18.
