People In Delhi Share Scary Visuals Of Air Quality As Pollution Continues To Rise In The City

Every year, around this time, the pollution in Delhi rises significantly. People struggle to breathe and are bedridden with respiratory illnesses as a thick cloud of smog embraces the national capital’s sky. According to News18, the air quality in several parts of Delhi has entered the ‘hazardous’ zone. The AQI in Anand Vihar is 999 while that of Noida’s Sector 62 is 469. Many areas of Delhi are fighting an AQI of above 500.

Several people living in and around Delhi have been sharing scary visuals of their surroundings on social media. The situation is particularly alarming because one can barely see after a certain distance. This can even lead to road accidents. Here’s a look at some pictures and videos that were shared online:

If you are someone who is living in Delhi and is struggling amidst the deteriorating air quality, you can limit outdoor activities, wear a mask, invest in air purifiers, avoid physical exertion and keep the windows of your home closed.
