Kerala’s ‘Patriotic’ Burglar Breaks Into Army Man’s Home, Steals Daru & Leaves Apology Note

Robbers around the world are becoming savage day by day. From a disappointed thief leaving a note for shop owner about their empty cash chest to a robber cooking food and taking a nap before robbing the restaurant he broke into; instances of robbers and their bizarre antics are plenty.

In a similar weird case, a robber who broke into a soldier’s house, left with an apology note for him, why? Because of PATRIOTISM!

The robber broke into the house without realizing that it belonged to an Army personnel. As soon as he saw his uniform, the robber aborted his mission. He instead tasted and took some liquor (after all who can resist Army canteen wali daaru). He also reportedly took away Rs.1500.

The next day, when the housemaid arrived, she saw a big apology letter written in Malayalam on the walls of the house, reports HT.

“I broke the Seventh Commandant of the Bible. I had no idea it was the house of a soldier. I realized this when I saw the uniform and cap. Kindly forgive me, officer,” the apology note read.

The thief also wrote that he had earlier stolen a bag from a nearby shop and asked them to hand it over to the owner. The shop owner, however, said Rs 10,000 was missing from the bag. Later the police also found that at least four shops and houses in the area were robbed the same night, reports India Today.

The cops believe that the thief might be trying to mislead them with a false display of patriotism. The investigation is underway and cops said that the thief’s handwriting can be used to nab him.

What do you think about the incident? Is it true patriotism or an attempt to mislead the police? Tell us!
