MS Dhoni is one of the greatest players the cricket fraternity has offered us. However, his performance this World Cup season has people questioning the form of the 38-year-old sportsman.
The former Indian cricket team captain has been receiving severe criticism over his performance in the past couple of matches, especially after India lost to England, where Dhoni was seen literally struggling to make runs. While some claim that his batting is way below standard, others are of the opinion that age is catching up with him.
However, behind all the flak what people fail to realise is the man was under a lot of pain. According to sources, during Ind v/s Eng, Dhoni had been hit on his thumb twice, first while wicket-keeping and again while batting. He still continued playing nevertheless.
