Nawazuddin Siddiqui Charged Just ONE RUPEE For ‘Haraamkhor’ And We’re Not Surprised!

Nawazuddin

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is on his way to an unattainable pedestal in Bollywood. There isn’t a day where we doubted the man and his acting capabilities but the king of parallel cinema is now, also a certified box-office, money-minting machine. While stardom is inevitable for a body of work like Nawaz’s, his modesty as a powerhouse performer is just refreshing!

In a tale that must be told, Nawazuddin Siddiqui who is playing a teacher in Sikhya Entertainment’s ‘Haraamkhor‘ has charged just one rupee as his due for his latest release.

In an out-of-the-box love story, Nawaz will be seen romancing his student played by Shweta Tripathi of ‘Masaan’ fame.

While Nawazuddin’s roles have always portrayed his drive for passion and not money, Guneet Monga of Sikhya Entertainment had even better things to say about the lead of their film.

“Nawaz and everyone on the project worked on minimal money or no money at all.”

“Nawaz loved the script and insisted to work pro bono on the film understanding the limitations of the budget overall. He was sweet to only charge one rupee from us literally as a token of his efforts. His support and work made the film possible.”

I don’t know about you but this doesn’t surprise me. Isn’t this something that we would expect from him?!
