As per a report in HT, a 29-year old man named Mohammad Murtaza Syed from Mira Road, Mumbai was recently booked along with his family members for cheating by the Naya Nagar police. This was based on a complaint by the man’s 27-year old wife in which she mentioned that he hid the fact that he was bald before marriage.

Kailash Barve, who is the senior inspector of Naya Nagar police station, explained, “The main accused got married to the complainant, a chartered accountant, in September this year. The woman later discovered that he was bald and had been wearing a wig.” The woman took up this issue with her in-laws as well, alleging that they all cheated on her by not informing her about her husband’s baldness.

Local website Lokmat reports that the woman approached the Naya Nagar police station and filed a complaint against her husband and his family members. She also alleged that her in-laws were harassing her for more dowry. In addition, she told the police that her husband was suspicious of her and, as a result, would check her chats and call records by hacking into her phone. She also complained that he performed unnatural sexual acts on her.

Barve said, “We have booked the husband and his parents under sections 498 (enticing or taking away or detaining with the criminal intent of a married woman), 377 (unnatural sex), 406 (breach of trust), and 500 (defamation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sections 66 and 66(c) of the Information Technology (IT) Act.”

He added, “While the other accused got anticipatory bail, the Thane court rejected the husband’s bail application and ordered him to surrender before the police. We will arrest him in a day or two.” Further investigations are underway, reports Loksatta.

If proven guilty of the serious charges leveled against them, we hope they would be punished. Meanwhile, for the rest of you, here are 16 bald celebs every balding guy can draw inspiration from!
