The rising pollution levels in the national capital Delhi is as famous as Dilli Ki Sardi. But seems like it’s not just Delhiites who are breathing polluted air this year.
According to a report by News18, the Air Quality Index (AQI) of Mumbai declined significantly and has been in the “very poor” category for a few days beating Delhi’s record.
Apart from that, a thick layer of smog also clouded Mumbai. As for Delhi, even though its pollution levels degraded, it still remained in the “poor” category.

Evidently, the situation is worrisome and the visuals reflect the grim reality of the deteriorating air quality levels in India. A lot of people have blamed the destruction of the natural environment and incessant construction across the city as a major reason for it.
