Fed Up Of Cleaning Alone, Mum Hides Money Under Clutter To See Who Helps Her

Most of us Indians are aware of this daily ritual of getting up on a bed or chair and not getting down until the floor, that the kaamwali bai just wiped, dries completely. And only the bravehearts dare to roam on wet floor while our mums are cleaning the house, right?

But like us, even moms lose their patience at times. And when it reaches goes past breaking point, there come a volley of curses-

“Saara kaam mujhey karna padta hai. No one helps me with anything. Mai nahi rahungi na tab samajh aaega” and the rant goes on.

Well, this Australian mum was also fed up of tidying the house alone, hence she came up with a little experiment to see who helps her with the household chores, reported Metro.

In order to encourage the kids to lend her a helping hand, the woman attached money to bits of waste materials. She stuck $20 (Rs. 1400 approx.) and $5 (Rs. 350 approx.) note to an empty toilet roll along with a note that read, ‘finders keepers’. This meant that whoever bothers to pick the rubbish keeps the money. However, her experiment fell flat when after six days, no one bothered to pick the waste up and it remained on the same spot, said a report by Mirror.

She then took to social media and shared a collage of the waste that remained on the toilet floor for almost a week adding that she’ll keep increasing the prize money, knowing that it’s coming back, reported Mail Online. She said:

“Needing something to inspire kids and husbands to tidy up around the house? Clearly this game hasn’t worked here yet, maybe one day. For now, I’ll keep upping the prize money, knowing it’s coming back.”

This isn’t the first time mums came with such hacks. Earlier, a mom placed life-size cutouts of herself around her baby in her absence to calm him.

Brb, going to check if my mom uses this trick, I might win some cash!
