Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani is the richest man in India. With a net worth of $84.5 billion (Rs. 626652 crores), he has now surged ahead of Chinese business tycoon Jack Ma (with a net worth of $48.4 billion or Rs. 359186 crores) to also become the richest person in Asia.
India Today reports that on Forbes’ 35th annual list of the world’s billionaires, Mr. Ambani is ranked Number 10 and Mr. Ma’s rank went down from 17 to 26. Interestingly, it was found that after the US (724) and China (698), India (140) has the third-highest number of billionaires in the world.
