MS Dhoni Dons Para Special Forces Regimental Dagger On His Gloves & Twitter Loves It!

Legendary Indian skipper MS Dhoni turned out to be a crucial customer in the Indian side once again as his responsible knock of 34 runs played perfect cushion to a dazzling Rohit Sharma ton. And with that, India began their 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup campaign by defeating a struggling South African side, comprehensively.

However, apart from Dhoni turning out to be a reliable man on the field, there was another thing about the wicket-keeper batsman that caught people’s attention. The 37-year-old’s wicketkeeping gloves had the regimental dagger insignia of the Indian Para Special Forces.

For those who do not know, MS Dhoni had undergone a two-week initial training with the paramilitary forces. Dhoni had donned the uniform and trained under the Para Brigade in 2015. And hence, in a beautiful tribute to the paramilitary forces, Dhoni’s gloves had the iconic ‘Balidaan Badge’ printed on them.

The gloves actually turned out to be lucky for Mahi as he managed to stump Andile Phehlukwayo despite a fumble.

Needless to say, the special gloves went viral on Twitter in no time.

Do we need any more reasons to respect this man? Take a bow, comrade!
