Do you remember the stunning suit our Prime Minister sported which had ‘Narendra Damodardas Modi’ printed all over it? He wore that suit in his meeting with US President Barack Obama, and now an interesting news about the suit has followed.
The suit has entered Guinness Book of World Records as the ‘most expensive suit ever sold’.
It was sold in an auction in February 2015, but has recently made its way to Guinness Book of World Records.
The suit was sold to the highest bidder Laljibhai Patel, a diamond baron and private airline owner based in Surat, for a whopping Rs 4.31 crore.

Laljibhai Patel was so determined to buy the suit, that was ready to pay more than 5 crores for it. He said,
The money does not matter.
The money received from the auction will be used for a campaign to clean River Ganga.
Other 800 items that were received by PM Modi were also sold in the auction.
It’s great that the money will be used for a good cause. PM Modi’s fashion sense has slain it once again.
