Mercedes-Benz Launches The AMG GT R aka ‘Beast Of The Green Hell’ In India

Mercedes just launched its flagship supercar in India, the Mercedes-AMG GT R and trust me when I say it, this ‘Green Hell Magno’ colored beast is going to take you on an adrenaline pumping ride.

Say hello to the ‘Beast of the Green Hell’.

To convince you that Mercedes-AMG GT R is the best performance car out there, let me play just 6 cards.

Card #1: Looks

Its wide, low, and aggressive stance is intimidating, to say the least, and the motorsport-inspired interiors complement the powerfully sculpted body. I shall let the pictures do the talking.

The interior images are only for visual purpose

Card #2: Speed

Having spent most of its development time in the ‘Green Hell’ of the Nürburgring racetrack, it isn’t surprising that the Mercedes-AMG GT R conquered the track with ease. That’s the reason it’s called the ‘Beast of the Green Hell’.

Not just that! Closer home at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) in Greater Noida, it crushed the earlier record to set the fastest ever lap by a production car in 2min 09sec.

And you know what, the Mercedes-AMG GT R is currently the fastest Mercedes-AMG on sale around the world. 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds. Need I say more.

Card #3: Sound

What’s a beast without its roar? The Mercedes-AMG GT R makes a genuine racecar sound – a typical deep V8 low-frequency noise will race your heartbeat. Its 4 litre twin-turbo V8 engine produces 585 horsepower.

Card #4: Customizations

If these weren’t enough already, the Mercedes team didn’t leave any stone unturned to woo the supercar enthusiast by taking personalization to the next level. With their ‘designo’ platform, patrons can now choose from exclusive paint finishes, hand-sewn leather upholstery, trims made from fine wood or lustrous natural stone and so on.

Card #5: Engineering

The car is an engineering marvel. While its natural habitat is the race track, its electronically controlled AMG rear-axle limited-slip differential delivers rock-solid stability.

The Mercedes-AMG GT R also gets Active rear-wheel steering, the nine-way adjustable traction control system and the adjustable coil-over suspension with additional electronic control, beefier axle, 10-spoke wider wheels and a special three-pipe centre exit exhaust system.

It is a meticulously engineered animal.

Card #6: Need more convincing? Watch this adrenaline pumping hell of a promo.

All my car fantasies end with this beast.
