Legendary Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan breathed her last today at a Mumbai hospital. The maestro who has made the who’s who of B-town dance to her tunes will be sorely missed.
And as soon as the news of her demise broke, her disciples and well-wishers from the industry took to social media to express their grief and share the beautiful moments they had lived with ‘Masterji’.
‘Dilwale’ actor Kajol shared how Saroj Ji was the most talented and coolest choreographer she had ever known.
Taking to Instagram she wrote:
Kajol also penned that even when Khan grew older, she could see the mischief and affection in her.
Remembering her guru, ‘Dhadkan’ actor Shilpa Shetty also shared how Saroj Khan was a ‘technician par excellence’.
Shilpa wrote:
She concluded by saying that no one shot women like her. Saroj Khan was someone who was idolised by several dancers across the country.
I remember learning the hook steps of several of her iconic songs from her TV show. Her passing away has left a void in the industry that is impossible to fill. May you rest in peace, Masterji.
