India’s Latest Meme Is A Woman Requesting Everyone To Drink Tea & Nobody Knows Why

Let’s admit, we Indians have made some of the weirdest memes in existence. In 2017 we had Mr. ‘Nagarpalika ko bulao’ and Dhinchak Pooja, who became such sensations that they’re still referred to even now. 2018 has been graced by the likes of Priya Prakash Varrier‘s deadly wink and Daisy Shah‘s iconic ‘business’ dialogue in ‘Race 3’. However, all these memes pale in comparison to a tea-drinking woman. And I know how weird it sounds but stick with me.

An Indian vlogger by the name of Somvati Mahawar has taken the internet by storm with a cup of tea and an extremely simple request.

Yes, that’s it. She just wants you to drink your tea. How has she struck a chord with the diverse population of India by saying that? I have absolutely no clue.

Maybe it’s Somvati’s awkwardness or the randomness of asking people to drink tea that has tickled everyone’s funny bone. Or maybe there’s no reason at all why she has gained popularity overnight. Whatever it’s, Somvati has done one good thing. She has reminded people that tea is awesome and everybody should be drinking it.
