The pandemic has taught us many things – cooking, gardening, why we shouldn’t take anything for granted, the importance of nature and much more. It has also added a lot of new words to our vocabulary like names of vaccines, terms used in healthcare, and of course names of several medicines.
On a lighter note, any idea who comes up with this unpronounceable names for meds? 😀
– Posaconazole
– Cresemba
– Tocilzumab
– Remdesivir
– Liposomal Amphoterecin
– Flavipiravir
– Molnupiravir
– BaricitinibAnd the list goes on…

Recently, an MLA from Telangana jokingly shared the opinion that MP Shashi Tharoor might be behind these unpronounceable names.
I suspect @ShashiTharoor Ji Pakka has a role to play in this 👇 https://t.co/zO024Pq0Oa

But the politician pronounced himself ‘not guilty’ in his signature style aka using some complex English words that got everyone looking them up on the internet.
Not guilty! How can you indulge in such floccinaucinihilipilification, @KTRTRS? Left to me I'd happily call them "CoroNil", "CoroZero", & even "GoCoroNaGo!" But these pharmacists are more procrustean…. https://t.co/YrIFSoVquo

This is what Twitter thought of his tweet:

Do you know the logic behind medicine names? Don’t they include their chemical structure and function?
