Following Sonam Kapoor’s Footsteps, Designer Masaba Gupta Also Quits Twitter

Out of all social media platforms, Twitter is undoubtedly the most popular among celebrities. Needless to say, the micro-blogging site came as a boon to the fans, who would literally die for an opportunity to interact with the stars they see on screen.

However, the site which was actually meant for expressing oneself has turned into a hub filled with hatred. With a massive amount of trolling which often escalates into personal attacks and nasty altercations, celebrities have already started to quit the platform.

The first to quit was Bollywood diva Sonam Kapoor who cited the exceeding amount of negativity as the reason behind her step. On October 4th, Sonam took the site to announce the break.

And now, we have another celeb who has followed her footsteps and parted ways with Twitter. In a couple of stories on Instagram, leading fashion designer Masaba Gupta revealed that she has already signed off.

While her reason was almost the same as Sonam’s, Masaba clearly mentioned that she doesn’t belong to Twitter. The 29-year-old added that she would only like to settle for the positivity around her and hence the decision.

Masaba claimed that she wants to make the most of the one life she has and would like to strive to make it better. She also thanked the people who have supported her throughout.

This is extremely unfortunate. We only have ourselves to blame for creating an environment which is forcing these stars to maintain a significant distance from the general public.
