Man Rescues Baby Eagle From Drowning After Mistaking It For A “Carpet”, Watch Video

For some of us, weekends are the best time to relax. But for this particular family in Invermere, it turned into a little adventure which I’m sure they’ll never forget.

According to Indian Express, the man named Brett Bacon was out on a weekend getaway with his family, not knowing that he would end up carrying out a rescue mission later during the day. They were boating near their cabin in Windmere Lake when they spotted something afloat.

According to the report, they initially mistook it for a “carpet” but soon realized that it was a baby eagle. “It’s not weird to see eagles and osprey go into the water to catch fish and then pop back up, but this thing was soaking wet and barely above the water,” he recounted.

In the video, his partner could be heard saying, “You have saved an eagle. It’s crazy,” as she records the rescue mission, while his child is heard giggling in the background.

Here are some of the comments people dropped on the video:-

As Brett leaned on the edge of the boat and pulled the struggling bird out of the water, it managed to dig its talons into the man’s arm. But despite the pain he must’ve felt at the time, the brave man held on to the poor eagle.

After people responded in huge numbers asking about his arm, Brett dropped in the comments section of the Instagram video he posted to share an update.“For everyone asking! The majestic creature was dropped off on the shoreline to dry off, and the wildlife guys are coming to see if he’s all good,” he wrote. See the full comment below:-

It is not every day that we get to see such wonderful moments of humanity. But when we do, it fills our hearts to the brim! What did you think of the video? Let us know!
