Photoshoots are the best way to capture the essence of an important event/occasion in your life. I mean, there’s a reason why engagement, pre-wedding and maternity photo shoots are so popular, right?
But then there are people who are camera-shy and just don’t want to do it. There’s no way to convince them, and honestly, you shouldn’t even try.
When photographer Chris’ pregnant wife refused to do a maternity photo-shoot because she’s camera-shy, he didn’t try to convince her. He did something even better. HE DID THE PHOTOSHOOT HIMSELF!
And no, I don’t mean being the photographer for the shoot. I mean – he modelled for it.
According to UNILAD, 29-year-old Chris from Pennsylvania had been trying to have a baby with his wife for about two years now. So when they finally got pregnant and found out they were having a baby boy, Chris couldn’t wait to do a photoshoot.
“I did it for my wife, but I did it because I’m really excited. Me and my wife have been trying to have a baby for two years, it’s been negative after negative after negative, and then one day I found out she’s pregnant, and I am just elated.”
But sadly, she refused to do it. And voila! He stepped in to do it himself. He said,
It was funny how it came about. I’m a photographer myself and I try and take as many pictures as I can, but my wife doesn’t really like being in pictures.
When I mentioned doing a maternity shoot, she said she didn’t really want to do anything too revealing, and she didn’t really want to do it, and I kept asking her.
So I started talking to my other photographer friends and decided ‘you know what, let’s just do it with me’.
The pictures keep getting better with each one of them and I really don’t know whether to laugh or be appalled at the ‘beauty’ of it. Take a look.

Chris had a lovely message for the men out there, fathers, soon-to-be father or future fathers. He said,
“For men, be brave and not be afraid to do something just like this for their wife. To be comfortable and happy for the birth of your child. Whether it’s your first kid or your fifth kid, go out and do it and be yourself, and don’t worry. The Internet will always be the Internet.”
Well, we absolutely agree with him. The Internet will always be the Internet. But you gotta do what you gotta do. And if you’re excited to do something, don’t let anyone stop you, even if it’s a maternity photoshoot without your wife. ?
