Mayya Mayya girl, Mallika Sherawat is half a Parisian since quite sometime now and lives the European dream in the City of Lights. She’s a Cannes regular and often spotted at charity galas and events held in and around Europe.
Reema Lamba (that’s her real name) was almost robbed last year, around this time in her rented Parisian abode. She was beaten up and tear-gassed in an attempted robbery. Now, the European media claims that Mallika and her boyfriend, Cyrille Auxenfans, have been shown eviction notice by their landlord.
The couple have not paid their rent, and as of November 14 their dues to the landlord are nearly 80,000 euros (78,786.73 euros) i.e ₹60,41,360. FranceTVInfo and BBC reports hinted that the couple are in financial distress and can’t afford the rent for the posh 350 sq. m flat on the 16th Arrondissement.
The same report stated the landlord’s lawyer, Olivier Mayrand saying,
“The couple could easily afford the rent, but there were currently no negotiations going on over the dispute. ‘We are talking about 46m euros in revenue and a fortune of 140 million. We are far from the tenant in difficulty.'”
But the couple’s lawyer cited that the tenant have “temporary financial difficulties”. David Honorat told Franceinfo,
“They (the couple) had refrained from paying rent due to a dispute with the landlord after Ms Sherawat was assaulted in the building’s lobby last November.”
After this news hit the wide web and Indian media started covering it, Mallika took to Twitter to slam the reports that called it her “own flat”. She said,

Umm, ok. But she didn’t deny the whole news, but only a part of it. That, too, in her own style.
