In these unprecedented times, it is kindness that will help us sail through, and thankfully there seems to be no dearth of it. Previously, an IPS officer urged people to share stories of kindness and desi Twitter delivered. Moreover, another study showed how employees work better with small gestures of kindness by their bosses. Here’s one such story of how a maid’s employer helped helped turn her daughter’s life around for the better.
The Twitter user named @gaurav_0112 narrated the incident where his househelp didi approached him to help her buy a laptop for her daughter, who is taking classes to become an air hostess.
Happy Story :
My Househelp didi,on Friday,came to us with 35000 in cash(she had saved in months),and told us to get a laptop for her daughter. As she is not much educated she has no idea abt laptops and all. Yesterday we went out and bought the laptop a bit higher than 35K (1/n)

He provided her with extra money as the laptop was higher than the price range she had in mind, and refused to take any pay cuts in the househelp’s salary even after her insistence.
And when she came to know about Price , she says , "Bhaiya mere salary me se ek ek hazaar har mahine kaat lena" …We told her not to worry about it but she insisted. She has just one daughter and she wants to give her best education & opportunities…. How lovely (3/n)

If this wasn’t inspiring enough, the househelp didi is taking care of everything on her own after her husband lost his job in covid. She wants to provide all the best facilities for her only child.
And after she went home with laptop, her daughter called just now , thanking me for the laptop. I can't explain the Happiness in her voice. Just made my day.
And Didi promised to bring Rasogulla for us tomorrow. 😍

Her daughter is entering college this year,so she wanted one..Her husband insisted on getting a Dell laptop..we were getting a laptop around 34K too..But we thought she can’t buy laptops again & again..we thought we would cover extra amount but will get a better one..So we got it
