We all will, at some point in our lives, deal with the loss of a loved one. Be it a parent, a friend or a relative; it’s never an easy thing to come to terms with. You realise they won’t be a part of any of the excitement, the banter, the laughs, the loves, the dates, the parties, the break-ups, fights, betrayal, hate and troubles, for the rest of your life. You continue to think what would he say, what would she think, how would she react, what would he advise and it never really gets easier.
Humans of Bombay recently uploaded this post of a woman. She lost her father at a very young age but found a fatherly figure in the form of her father-in-law. She received an overwhelming amount of love from both her husband and his family. However, life did not play a fair game with her even after her marriage.
Here’s her story:
Life can certainly be quite unfair to the best of us. Some of us get crushed under the pressure of the overwhelming burden of sorrow life hurls at us while others power through it all and emerge stronger. However, strength does not mean your loss gets any easier to deal with. It never will. Love hurts, and the loss of love hurts even more. When you emerge stronger, you accept the hurt as a natural part of you and face it all head on.
