Following Sidharth Shukla’s tragic demise, his funeral was held in Mumbai last week. Many people online slammed the media for ‘harassing’ Shehnaaz Gill during Shukla’s last rites. Later, Gauhar Khan took to Twitter to vent her frustration on celebs giving interviews where they discussed meeting Sidharth’s grieving family.
Any one who has met a grieving family ,should not give out details .Really sad to see people giving interviews about family members n sharing details .Stop !Please stop ! If Uve gone to pay ur respect don’t come out n become a khabri and add to the low standard of journalism 🙏🏻

YouTuber Zakir Khan took to Instagram to share similar thoughts on the issue.
He wrote, “They don’t think of you as a human being. Not because there aren’t any lines or boundaries. Your corpse is not a body without soul, but an opportunity to click pictures.”
Kriti Sanon then took to social media to express how covering a celebrity’s funeral is morally wrong. She condemned the papparazi for terming funerals as news.

Sanon’s tweet drew multiple reactions from people online. Some fans expressed that they wished to pay their respects to Shukla from their homes and thus wanted to see the footage of the funeral.
Madamji…Sid not only belongs to his family..I also think he is part of my family. What abt all the fans and well wishers like me who want to bid him farewell sitting at some corner of the country. We also have our emotions even though we are not celebrities like you.

We being celebs were concerned as fans too to know about @itsSSR family and friends at his funeral.. Same way @sidharth_shukla fans were also glued with tv sets to know what his family and friends are going through. They have all the right to know what is happening inside.

When you are Public Figure…You accept this

Others believed it was wrong to disturb Sidharth’s family by photographing their grief.
When you're born as human, you accept to be human. being public figures doesn't mean no privacy.

I don’t know what to say to u. She isn’t saying don’t take our pictures. What media is doing is inhuman. Someone just lost their mother, brother, sister or father and the media goes for photobombing them. Just put ur self in their position for once and think how would u feel.

Celebs must draw a line. Their PR informs media about such visits. They lineup bytes and interviews on demises also. Even some time celebs curate Funeral Looks. Check yesterday's pics you will get the answer.
