Girl Who Went To Kota To Study Fakes Her Own Kidnapping & Demands ₹30 Lakh Ransom From Dad

In an incident that took place in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, a girl named Kavya Dhakad staged her own kidnapping and demanded Rs 30 lakh ransom from her father so she could go on a foreign trip with her friend. She was a student who had gone to Kota to study and prepare for NEET.

According to India Today, Kavya came to Kota with her mother and she lived in the hostel for three days. After her mother left, Kavya went to Indore and was living with two of her friends. She wanted to travel abroad, so with the help of her friends, she pretended to be abducted, took pictures of herself in a trapped condition and sent them to her parents demanding Rs 30 lakh ransom.

In the pictures, we can see how her hands and feet were tied.

According to News18, Kavya’s father, Raghuveer Dhakad, filed a complaint with the Kota Police. However, matters started to get worse after Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia intervened, engaging with Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma to make sure that the girl returned home safely.

Since the girl’s phone was switched off, they traced her last location and it was found that she was in Indore. It was one of Kavya’s friends who cooperated with the police and revealed that she had hatched this plan to get money from her parents.

Wish I could tell her, padh le behen!
