A 40-year-old man in Kolkata was probably going through the hardest phase of his life. He ran a tiles business which was suffering massive losses. He also went through a divorce with his wife, who took their younger daughter after separating from him. His elder daughter stayed with him but complained about their dire financial crisis. Unable to bear the stress of it all, the man decided to end his life.
Recently, he was travelling on a two-wheeler with his elder daughter when he suddenly stopped the vehicle claiming that his phone had fallen on the road. He went on to climb bridge number 4 at Park Circus area and threatened to commit suicide. This caused a massive traffic jam for about 20 minutes, reported TOI.
The police had to hilariously lure him back with a plate of biryani from a popular restaurant and promised him a job. The combination of these two successfully lured him back to the ground.
A police officer revealed that if he had fallen from the bridge, he would have hit the electric poles or the railway track.
