I love dogs more than I can probably love any human I know. Their furry paws, button eyes and unconditional love is incomparable to anything else in this world. Unfortunately, I’ve never had my own dog. But fortunately, I have met a lot of dogs and have been loved by them enough to know what it feels like.
9-year-old Gideon Kidd is a young lad who loves every dog, petting them and reviewing them in the most innocent, child-like and loving way he knows how.
He has amassed 45.4k followers and his Twitter bio says,
“My name is Gideon. I am a 9-year-old boy who likes petting dogs. These are pictures of dogs I’ve pet.”
His timeline is FULL of aww-dorable dogs he has pet and a little review about their dog personalities. If you start scrolling, I doubt you’ll ever want to stop.
So here are some of the best ones according to me.
1. Still a puppy at heart after all.
I pet Squirt. She is a 13 year old Jack Russell terrier. When she was young, she would never stop running. Somehow, she could fit 2 tennis balls in her mouth at the same time! 🎾🎾But now, her caregiver says her mood is “old age.” She still likes attention and love though. pic.twitter.com/BsMf6f51xS

2. Tilt and listen, girl, tilt and listen.
I pet Lady. She is a 6 year old rough-coated collie. She is famous and has her own Instagram account: @lady_notlassie. She was born on a farm in Wisconsin. Lady is very sweet and smart. She is a good listener. She will tilt her head and look at you when you talk. pic.twitter.com/tPPE7vHFQW

3. Such a good girl.
I pet Stella. She is a 16 month old poodle and a show dog. She follows all sorts of commands, like shake, sit and stay. She can even bring back pheasants! Her caregiver got her for his granddaughter, but the dog helped him the most. When he was depressed, she stayed with him. pic.twitter.com/zyxw5alUYJ

4. If I were Keisha or Zorro, I’d do the same.
I pet Keisha and Zorro. They are Siberian huskies. They only want to eat human food and try their best to get some. They love to swim and play all day. pic.twitter.com/yduZkLwryd

5. 300? That’s a milestone, boy!
I pet Clementine. She is a 10 week old cocker spaniel puppy. Her mother couldn’t make milk, so she was raised and nursed by a shih tzu who had just given birth. Clementine is cuddly and playful. She likes to play tug of war. She is the 300th dog I’ve pet!! pic.twitter.com/yHnMTmnLbQ

6. She would make a great companion.
I pet Sadie. She is an 11 year old Jack Russell terrier. Her caregiver got her because she was not getting along with a dog in another home. He says she is a great travel dog. pic.twitter.com/U088soz3iM

7. It’s all about what you think about yourself, right?
I pet Buddy. He is a 10 year old chihuahua. His caregivers got him when he was 8 months old from a breeder. Buddy is deaf. He may be little, but he thinks he is a really big dog. pic.twitter.com/n41rLgPjtz

8. Yeah, it’s all about the chase.
I pet Pepper. He was abandoned at 2 years old after his house burned down. His current caregiver was a neighbor who found him and took him in. Pepper is a “rabbit and squirrel chasing son of a gun.” He is now 15, and can’t go as fast but he still likes to chase. pic.twitter.com/lpyl2fzkk7

9. Human says hunt, instinct says nurture.
I pet Abigail and Louis. Abigail is a purebred beagle who was bred to hunt rabbits, but she has never been hunting. She loves to run fast. She is like a mom to little Louis, who is 3 months old. He is a dachshund, rat terrier mix. His tail never stops wagging! pic.twitter.com/8i2hhD1PiH

10. Miss ’em sunny days.
I pet Toto. He was born and raised in Los Angeles. He misses all the sunny days they have there. He is the 290th dog I’ve pet! pic.twitter.com/s3BBPjjgQ9

11. Squeaky toys, fluffy and soft things – pretty sure she is describing herself.
I pet Ava. She is a 9 week old Siberian husky. She likes squeaky toys and people getting down to her level to play. She was fluffy and soft. pic.twitter.com/fe7cusfxlF

12. Imagine coming across the same dog you’ve pet as a pup.
I pet Bruno. I first pet Bruno in October, 2016, when he was just a puppy. He sure has grown! He is a cream-colored dachshund. He likes walking around downtown and meeting new people. pic.twitter.com/av4Tkb67ZC

13. She’s a very special girl.
Great! I love your milk and ice cream. I’ve even pet a dog of someone who works at your store! I pet Kirra. She has 3 legs and 2 different colored eyes. She was very sweet! 🐶🥛 pic.twitter.com/6H2BUEau75

14. Some dogs just need time to love you, but they always do.
I pet Apollo. He is an Australian Shepherd, corgi mix. He had to warm up to me first, but then let me near him. I liked all his spots. pic.twitter.com/ghYnoNOY9f
— I've Pet That Dog (@IvePetThatDog) April 27, 2018
15. That explains the shyness.
I pet Mandi. She is a yorkie. She is very shy, probably because she is a rescue dog. pic.twitter.com/sXZMzh1bUN
— I've Pet That Dog (@IvePetThatDog) April 22, 2018
16. Always wants the ice-cream more.
I pet Lambeau when I went to get ice cream. He liked the pets, but I think he wanted the ice cream more. pic.twitter.com/Hf6gZHHatp

17. Meet the “dog who likes the cats”.
This is Precious, the papillon. She is wearing a UNI Panthers shirt. Her owner says she is “a dog who likes the cats.” She is my 260th dog pet. pic.twitter.com/qvoQKyKucA

18.
This is Rizzo. He was adopted from the Humane Society about 4 years ago. He was so cute and so friendly!🐶 pic.twitter.com/uaNlLt4Llr

I could go on all day and we’d still not be at the end of his tweets.
Besides the good, beautiful, lovely and amazing dogs, I think it’s just so joyful to see a 9-year-old loving and sharing the love for dogs in such an innocent way. I hope you continue this, Gideon and bless our timelines with all the paw-dorable love.
