Karan Johar Called The ‘Baap of Nepotism’ For Launching Star Kids Janhvi Kapoor-Ishaan Khattar

Karan-Johar-Baaf-Nepotism-Dhadak

“You are the flag-bearer of nepotism,” said Kangana Ranaut to Karan Johar, not so long ago.

And, then got mired into a whole narrative of controversy around it. Karan made things worse with “distasteful” humour about being nepotistic at an awards show. He later apologised and after that took a dig at her. But, nepotism and Karan linkage became stronger and stronger.

After launching two star kids, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan and a Sidharth Malhotra in Bollywood in 2012, K’Jo is launching two more star kids.

Debuting under the Dharma banner are Sridevi’s elder daughter, Janhvi Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor’s baby-brother, Ishan Khattar.

Directed by Shashank Khaitan, Dhadak is a remake of Marathi film Sairat (2016).

The posters got adulation from netizens.

But also got flak from some. People started calling Karan ‘baap of nepotism’.

1. He was called out for it.

6. Another point discussed on the inter-web.

7. She’s got a point.

8. That sarcasm.

9. Some insensitive jokes.

10. Wouldn’t hear the Rekha Bhardwaj song the same way again.

We wonder what Karan Johar has to say about this.
