The horror of 26/11 has left a black mark in the history of India. The loss of innocent lives and the screams of people inflicting in pain are a constant reminder of what happened and how it could have been worse.
After being awarded by the president, this officer, Jillu Yadav, who is an assistant Sub-Inspector (Railway Police Force) has now been accused of mistreating his seniors, harassing hawkers at the station and being arrogant with his colleagues.
His peers are accusing him of losing his sense because of the unprecedented appreciation he received for being brave during a terrorist attack. Complaints have been piling up against him and therefore, he was transferred to CCTVÂ room.
Officials have said that ever since he was promoted to Assistant Sub Inspecter, Yadav has behaved with his seniors and harassed others by falsely accusing them of taking bribery. Last year, he had slapped a senior official on duty because of which he was removed from field duty.
An inquiry has been initiated against him following the complaints.
On the other hand, Yadav, while speaking to Mumbai Mirror said, “I am a whistleblower; I do not allow illegal activities and that is why they are trying to shut me up.”
An activist Samir Zaveri, who fights against corruption in railways, said to Mumbai Mirror that Yadav was a brave heart and deserved more respect.
In a situation like this, it is tough to determine who is lying while who is saying the truth.
Is it a case of praises ruining a person’s values?
Or a case of internal politics in the RPF?
