Over 6 lakh students registered for the JEE main examination from February 23 to 26 and 6 of them have scored a perfect 100 percentile. Isn’t that amazing? If we were one of them, we’d reward ourselves by locking up our books and sleeping for a week straight. Followed by a relaxing vacation with family. However, 18-year-old Guramrit Singh from Chandigarh who is one of the toppers says he wants to re-appear for the exam.
“I will seek advice from my teachers before applying for the April or May sessions. While my entire focus is on Advanced and CBSE exams, another attempt in JEE Main will help me prepare for further challenges.”
Mohali's Guramrit Singh became the national topper by securing 100 percentile in the JEE Mains. The only mantra to crack JEE, according to him is to get hold of NCERT and listen to teacher. "Keep your concepts clear and revise daily," he said. @thetribunechd pic.twitter.com/yjJwxMCt3B

The Indian Express quoted him adding, “I want to study computer science engineering from either IIT-Bombay or IIT-Delhi. JEE Main prepared me for board exams physics, chemistry, and maths papers. Rest English and physical education will be done in these two months.”
Needless to say, people reacted with memes wondering why anyone would better a perfect score.

According to News18, Uttar Pradesh state topper Pal Aggarwal who scored 99.98 percentile also wants to give another attempt and try for a 100. The reason? All the perfect scorers were boys and she wants to be among the top female students in the April attempt.
All the best to everyone taking the exams!
