Earlier this month, speculation was rife that Alibaba and Ant co-founder Jack Ma had gone missing. He had not made any public appearances since October 2020 after his IPO was halted and regulators had ordered an antitrust probe into Alibaba.
NDTV now reports that he virtually hosted a video conference with 100 rural educators and told them that he’d meet them after the pandemic was over.
Ma, who used to be an English teacher and founder of #Alibaba, also gives wishes to village teachers via a video on Wednesday, saying usually the activity is held in Sanya in southern Hainan but this year, due to #Covid19 it has to be done via video conference. pic.twitter.com/yfi7oPB5Sb

While people still have questions about his disappearance, they are celebrating his re-emergence with memes on Twitter.
