Creeps are dime a dozen on the Internet. And even the ever present hardcore porn is not enough to keep them sane. They have to stalk and harass women to get their fill of thrill. And the worst part is that the cyber police is completely disinterested in pursuing these cases.
Ditto for regular police too.
A creep on Instagram messaged a 17-year-old girl about how great her boobs looked. That just upgraded him to a paedophile.
The paedophile then went one step ahead and morphed a naked body on her face and blackmailed her. He threatened to post the picture on Facebook and tag her.
As any child would, she panicked and took the issue to her parents.
When the parents went to the Dhanmandi police station in Udaipur to lodge a FIR, they said to take the case to cyber police. The cyber police told them that they only deal with ATM-related cyber crime.
Actually, the cyber police HAS to deal with cases like these. Because it is not a simple case of cyber bullying anymore. A minor is involved and it is straight up sexual harassment.
The police made them come every day and told the minor to recount the incident again and again until they did the outrageous.
One of the police officer went so far as to victim shame her saying that if you have a social account, things like these will happen.
“Why do you post pictures on social media? “What he has done with you, he will do it with others as well. You should delete your social media accounts in order to be safe.”
He even insulted her religion and community.
“Aap Bohra logo ko parents se bhaut azadi mili hui hai isliye ap logo ke sath ye bahut hota hai.”
Police’s job is to file reports and solve cases by nabbing paedophiles who harass women and not give them lectures in their regressive wisdom.
Fortunately, Maneka Gandhi did take notice and responded to the plea by the victim’s sister immediately.

When will police take action by themselves? Why do they have to wait for a minister to give them orders even in a case which involves a minor?
