A while back, Bollywood singer and winner of Indian Idol-Season 1 Abhijeet Sawant sparked controversy after he slammed the singing reality show for focusing on ‘fake love stories’ and ‘poverty’. The host of the show Aditya Narayan and one of the judges Neha Kakkar also came under the scanner for creating fake marriage rumors on the sets.
Sonu Nigam also reportedly said that sob stories on reality shows are a marketing gimmick. Well, all this attracted a lot of eyeballs with people criticizing one of the longest-running singing reality TV shows and its judges for being melodramatic even more than any saas-bahu serials, reported Times Of India.
