What’s a perfect Christmas morning like? Curled up on the couch, with a cup of hot chocolate, bundled up in a warm blanket, watching Home Alone. Ahhh… Perfect! Actually, that sounds like a perfect morning any time of the year. For most of us, the Home Alone series was a huge part of our lives growing up. Kevin McCallister played by the hilarious Macaulay Culkin was a hero in our childish minds.
The kid was living the time of his lives on screen. No parental supervision, plenty of cash to spend and beating the bad guys. The boy was a legend!
And let’s be clear, I’m only talking about Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. Because honestly, are the three that followed even worth the title? The answer is nope.
As for Macaulay, he now makes videos and podcasts for his lifestyle blog ‘Bunny Years’, which he describes as a “Gentle Internet hug”.
Aaaah… you gentle unicorn human!
As much as we do enjoy his quirky blog, we’d be lying if we said we don’t secretly hope for a revival of the movie starring him as a grown-up Kevin.
However, Macaulay has repeated time and again that he wouldn’t want to revisit his Home Alone days. Why Mac? Why???

All hope is not lost though, as per reports, Fox network is all geared up to revive the classic with a modern day twist.
Aaaaaand… Guess who’s part of the team? Ryan. Freaking. Reynolds.

Hold your horses though, according to the Deadline, as of now Ryan is stepping in as the producer and whether he will be starring in it is not clear.
The premise of the project named “Stoned Alone” will be as such:
George Dewey will be the executive producer and Augustine Frizzell will direct what promises to be an entertaining revival.
Fans though are kind of torn at the idea of Stoned Alone. Can’t really blame them though, since so many revivals of classics have been disappointing:
