Hindu, Muslim Husbands Swap Kidneys To Save Their Wives, Proving Humanity Is The Truest Religion!

Stories and examples of Hindu-Muslim rivalry are endless in number! But people seldom sing the stories of their love and sacrifices for each other. Amidst the rising cases of Hindu-Muslim hatred in the country, stories of people helping each other to save the life of their loved ones irrespective of their religion, restore our faith in humanity!

One such case of humanity has come to light recently. Bihar man Sujeet Kumar got in touch with a Kashmiri man Abdul Aziz on an app for kidney transplants.

Both of their wives needed an urgent kidney transplant. While Sujeet was found to be a good match for Aziz’s wife Shazia, Aziz fortunately turned out to be a perfect match for Sujeet’s wife Manjula Devi for the transplant.

Both the men donated their kidneys to each other’s wives thereby gifting them a new life!

“I was registered on a kidney transplant app, based on which I was contacted by the hospital. They told us that there were matches for our kidneys. We came to the hospital and met the family and got the transplant done,” Sujeet told The Tribune.

“Earlier, I felt hungry all the time, had high blood pressure and felt unusually cold. After the transplant, I have got a new life,” his wife Manjula said.

Both the couples said that the difference in their religious faith was never an issue. “Life is first and religion comes after that,” Manjula said.

“Religion does not matter. Whether it’s Hindu or Muslim, their kidneys are same. We now often talk to each other over the phone to know about well being,” said Abdul.

“They have invited me to Kashmir and we have invited them to Patna. We would like to visit them someday,” Sujeet said.

This isn’t the first time a couple has set aside their religious differences to help each other. Recently, two Hindu Muslim women donated their kidneys to each other’s husband in Mumbai.

We hope that humans continue to follow the religion of humanity first and then others and make the world a peaceful place to live!
