I’m one of the laziest girls I know. I don’t go into active mode unless someone pushes the hypothetical start button on my brain, ergo the rest of me. That’s why I’m always hurried in getting to work and end up just raking my fingers along my scalp and tie my insufferable hair in a tight bun. Â I also find washing my hair a very tiring job and tend to postpone it to the point where no longer delay can be tolerated (Yoda effect?). And I know I’m so not alone in this. There’s a large tribe of girls who don’t have enough time but still want perfect hair. But girls, there’s a way out!
The hairstyling hacks we’ve come up with today require least of your time and most importantly, your patience. 🙂
1. Make flyaways go away
These are most annoying, irritating hair which spring out, making one look like a mad man. These can be tamed by spraying a little hairspray on a toothbrush and running it along the top of your hair.
2. Make your ponytail perky
To do so, you simply need a few bobby pins.
3. Make the grease disappear
Dry Shampoo is the most amazing thing. If You’ve run out of dry shampoo or don’t want to buy any, cornstarch/cocoa powder or baby powder will do.
4. Frizz-free on the go
Use hand lotion in place of anti-frizz serums in case you run out of them or just don’t tend to carry them around when you travel.
5. Shine is important
You can pour a shot of vodka or some beer known to add extra shine, over your hair.
6. When you are really pressed for time
Wash your hair in the sink for those really bad hair days.
7. The right way to use bobby pins
The best way to use bobby pins is to stick ’em in your hair bottom up instead of the other way around.
8. Twist and trim
The easiest way of getting rid of split ends. Twist a small portion of your hair and fray the surface a bit. This will allow you to see the split ends and you can cut ’em off yourselves saving a trip to the hairdresser.
9. The quickest way to wash your hair
Apply shampoo only to the roots of your hair and conditioner to the rest of it at the same time. This saves you the step of conditioning which takes another 2-3 minutes of your time after shampooing. The part of your hair really needs washing are the roots. Doing so saves your hair from unnecessary drying up and becoming increasingly unmanageable.
