If there is anything our parents really want us to focus on and take seriously, it is education. And really, we should be grateful that we have access to education and parents willing to spend their money on making us literate, civilised adults.

When Hanss Mujica got suspended from the university, he couldn’t bear the disappointed look on his parents’ face with regards to him. He decided that day to never do anything that will disappoint them.

24-year-old Hanss from Texas spent six years in and out of the university just so he could surprise his parents with his graduation announcement from college. And he did it.

According to Bored Panda, he said,

“Their face was filled with utter disappointment and sadness. The last time I saw that face was when they found out my older brother passed away. I told myself that I would never do anything to see that look on their face.”

He planned the surprise for years and the end result was beyond beautiful. His parents broke down into tears and the joy in their hearts was clearly reflected on their faces.

Hanss posted on Facebook to share the special day.

The parents thought they were posing for a family photoshoot, but it was actually his graduation announcement surprise.

The videographer handed his parents an envelope which had a letter and two tickets to his graduation ceremony. The mother couldn’t control her tears and was sobbing while the father read out the letter. By the end of it, his joyful tears were unstoppable too.

Hanss came out from the back with a thank you placard for his parents and the family had a sweet, sentimental moment.

Although I fail to understand what the father reads out from the letter, it is not rocket science to know that whatever it is, is quite emotional for the family.

With help from his kind friends, working odd jobs, acquiring emergency loans and later federal aid, Hanss made it a point to dedicate his time to achieving the one thing he knew will make his parents proud of him.

And here they are. They are so proud of him.

I’m not crying, you are. *happy tears*
