Mumbai Groom Weds Delhi Bride On Video Call, Virtual Guests Dance To Celebrate

With the coronavirus lockdown, many plans have come to a halt. It has stalled many weddings, celebrations, work, religious festivities and what not! And same happened with Delhi’s Neet Kaur who was set to tie the knot with her boyfriend of one year Preet Singh. Preet hails from Mumbai and they had planned to get married in the city on April 4.

But due to the nationwide lockdown following the coronavirus outbreak, the couple could not go ahead with their wedding as planned so they decided to solemnize the wedding rituals on a video call, reports News 18.

Accordingly, a video conference was arranged with both the families and relatives from Dubai, Australia and Canada joining in decked up in their wedding attire. As soon as the wedding rituals were completed, the family distributed chocolates among themselves and broke into a celebratory dance, reports Pune Mirror.

“The hardest part is not seeing each other after the ceremony, but the fact that we are married is good enough for me,” Preet said. He was supposed to head for his honeymoon with Neet to Goa after the wedding which is also canceled.

The groom, however, said that as soon as the lockdown ends, both the families will visit the Gurudwara and take blessings of Waheguruji as the wedding would be incomplete without His blessings.

The couple made the best use of technology, for sure! We wish them a happy married life ahead.
