It is a nightmare to even think that your ex or one of your exes will gatecrash your wedding and probably create a scene. But one man in China literally had to live this nightmare!
According to a report by The Star, in China’s Yunnan province, a groom named Chen almost got a heart attack after not one, not two, but twelve of his ex-girlfriends appeared unannounced for his wedding holding a huge red banner that read, “We are Chen’s ex-girlfriends and today, we will destroy you.”
They were blocking the road leading to the wedding venue to stop anyone going to attend the ‘welcoming the bride’ ceremony. The incident occurred on February 6. Many of the people attending the wedding, including the relatives of the groom, thought the women were his friends who were pulling a prank on him. They later realized that the women were actually his ex-girlfriends.
Instead of taking offence, the groom took full accountability for hurting the women in the past. He accepted the fact that he did have many girlfriends. According to Times Now, he claimed that he was “immature” at the time as he was very young and urged other men to not treat their partners the way he did.
“You must be loyal to your girlfriend rather than cheating on her. If in the future she decides to air her grievance, you will be done,” Chen said.
As a result of the incident, the bride and her family stopped talking to the groom altogether, who didn’t know how to douse the situation.
“It embarrassed me quite a lot. Now my newlywed wife has fallen out with me,” Chen said.
